Originally a convention for comic book artists and fans, the Con has since expanded to be the über-locale for nerds fans of all entertainment genres (movies, TV shows, comics, anime, manga, toys). There are awesome (and ridiculus) costumes and it is massive in size, taking up the entire main hall of the San Diego Convention Center and every side hall. It's traditionally a 4 day event, although John and I only attended for 2, with his brother Paul joining us for the first day. The lines are ridiculously long for the panels. We waited a good hour before we made it into the Lost panel, and when we tried to get into the room for an afternoon of Battlestar Galactica, Fringe, Dollhouse, and Chuck.. the line was at least a mile long.
