A unique camping trip for Andrew and I. No backpacking, just the back of a pickup truck for us to sleep in, which gives us a little more flexibility as to where we could camp. We stayed along the Arizona-utah border for most it. I'd say that our choice of sites got better over the three days, starting out in the overflow parking in the valley of Zion. Second night was spent in the Paria riverbed, above Buckskin Gulch, where we found some petroglyphs along a side canyon wall. The day we headed out to the awesome slot canyons of Antelope Canyon. That night we backed up the truck to a remote part of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Facing due East made for an awesome sunrise, although a little snow on the ground made it a lot harder to get out of my sleeping bag.
