Chicago
November 2007
Over Thanksgiving, I went out to Chicago for a bit to visit my brother and see a city I'd only been to once before. With El train pass in hand, I was able to explore most of the city. Although it was freezing cold, the architecture river tour was really cool, giving a short history on the city from the rooftop of a boat. I mad it down to the Musuem of Science and Industry, which is one of the last remaining buildings from the famous Columbian Exposition of 1893. I was also able to get out to IIT and see the Mies van der Rohe buildings and the Rem Koolhaas campus center.
